On the 4th and 5th July Giles Duley will for the first time, be presenting his work in his home town at the iconic St. Mary in the Castle. As with all of his projects, this will be no ordinary evening. Instead of a sombre display of his thought provoking work, Duley is instead hosting a three course Syrian supper club each night for one hundred people, along with a talk, a selection of his photographs on display and a presentation of a new project which has never been seen before. The evening will also include performances from Syrian musician Raghad Haddad and Sudanese Oud player Bashir Al Gamar.
The event is a partnership with Hastings City of Sanctuary, and intends to bring people together through creating a place of conversation, collaboration and community, provoking inspiration, animation and action, with all proceeds raised going to the Legacy of War Foundation.
